Have you ever asked yourself what would your mental disorder or disease look like if you had to imagine it as an object of architecture, in this case a house?
Barcelona-based Federico Babina, who is a digital artist, used art for his new project he called “Archiatric”, where he provides depictions for 16 different mental conditions as architectural objects in different states of repair. The presented designs are predominantly abstract; however for someone living with a disorder they are painfully accurate.
The animated video Babina posted to his YouTube channel gives a more intensifying glance at the effects and the images
He is familiar for the use of architecture in his work, implementing singular geometrical styles that stem from cubism. The designs he makes have a note of surrealism in them, yet are full with witty humor.
