5 Signs You’re Made for Each Other

Do you believe you and your partner are simply made for one another? Are you one of those couples who everybody calls crazy and weird, but you just think you’re adorable and head over heels in love with each other?

It’s quite rare nowadays to find someone who simply fulfills you on every level, who makes you feel whole and who makes your heart skip a beat when you see them. It’s even rarer to have a relationship so selfless that you no longer make a difference between you and him or her. A relationship where you push each other to become better persons, to grow and evolve, to achieve everything you’ve ever wanted in life.

Love is a mysterious feeling, it sneaks up on us and catches us off guard, but once it sets in our hearts there’s no escaping it. But when that love is reciprocated, when you fall in love with someone who loves you back with the same intensity, then nothing else matters. If your relationship is strong enough to endure every challenge, every curve ball that life throws at you, all you need is each other. When you meet that someone that makes everything seem effortless, that makes love and relationships easy, that supports you in every aspect and is always there for you, you know you’ve met your soulmate. This kind of relationship doesn’t come often, but when it does, you need to do everything you can to let it flourish and prosper.

But how do you know if this relationship is the one? How do you know if this is the man/woman you’re meant to spend your life with? How do you know if this love is real and true and worth fighting for? How do you know if this is the person you want to see every morning for the rest of your life?

There is no true answer to these questions and the truth is that no one can ever be 100% sure. But there are signs that can tell you that you’re ready to take things to the next level, that your relationship can last and should last and that you’ve finally met your match!

1. You let him/her see your vulnerable side

None of us wants to show our vulnerable side to others because we fear they may take advantage of us and hurt us even more. If you let yourself be vulnerable with your partner, if you completely open up and let him see you, with all your fears, insecurities and imperfections, you feel that this is the person you can trust and confide in. Your heart is telling you that you can relax and finally be comfortable with your partner and not live in fear that he may break it.

2. You respect each other deeply

Both you and your partner are individuals with feelings, dreams, values, opinions and principles and you need your partner to respect them and hold them high. If your partner respects your individuality and never belittles you or makes you feel unworthy, he’s a keeper. In a relationship, both partners need to respect each other’s personal space and time, each other’s privacy, because otherwise the relationship will start suffocating you both. If your relationship doesn’t leave any room for disrespect, for harsh words and hurt feelings, you’re with the person you’re meant to be.

3. There’s no room for jealousy

This is one of the most crucial things in a relationship, when both partners are mature enough and know that they’re with someone who they can trust completely. If you know you can trust your partner with everything and you know that he would never do anything to hurt your feelings and let you down, you’re with the person you’re meant to be.

4. You’re happy and you smile all the time

If you’re simply happy in your relationship and there’s nothing anyone could say to make you feel otherwise, then you’re definitely with the person you’re meant to be. If your partner has a good sense of humor and makes you smile and laugh all the time, you know that your time will be filled with laughter and joy until the end of time. If he simply brings the sunshine in your life and makes you feel alive, he’s definitely a keeper.

5. You inspire one another to become better individuals

Growing as a couple is important, but it’s even more important to grow as individuals, to improve yourselves and achieve your goals in life. If your partner stimulates you, motivates you to work on yourself, to achieve your dreams and always aim higher, they’re the right choice for you. If your partner encourages you to be more daring, to be more successful and to simply be better, not for him/her, but for yourself, you’re definitely meant for each other. Individual growth will eventually lead to relationship growth and you will only become happier over time.
