Here are 4 ways to eliminate gingivitis and tartar and also whiten your teeth.
Is there anything more that needs to be said about the importance of our oral hygiene? A person’s smile is some of the first things that we notice when we meet someone.
One of the biggest turn-offs, without doubt, is yellow teeth.
Tartar or plaque is created when we do not wash our teeth and some food particles are left in our mouth. This is bad for your teeth because the food particles will attract germs that further will damage the teeth. Those who do not take care of their oral hygiene are prone to tartar.
Same reasons can cause gingivitis as well, but instead to the teeth, this happens to the gums. This inflammation will give you a great deal of pain every single time you chew some food. You can prevent it simply by having proper oral hygiene.
Through your mouth can enter every kind of infections and I don’t think there is someone who wants that for their digestive system.
If going to the dentist is very scary or expensive here we have some homemade remedies that can help you with these issues.
1. All you need is 1 t/s of baking soda, ½ teaspoon salt, ½ cup of hydrogen peroxide, Listerine or any other antiseptic mouthwash, some warm water and a toothbrush.
In a bowl mix the baking soda with the salt, then take the toothbrush (previously moistened) and dip it in that mixture. Gently clean your teeth while you keep spitting out the saliva. You can do this for ten minutes or until you feel that you have covered almost every part of your teeth.
2. In the warm water put the hydrogen peroxide and use this solution to rinse the mouth.
The anti-bacterial properties of the hydrogen peroxide will keep your mouth free of bacteria.
You can do the rinsing for about 5 minutes and finish with only water.
3. Flossing is something that all of us should be doing every single day. With flossing, you are eliminating the chances for gingivitis, but you must learn to do it properly so that you will not hurt your gums. If you have gums they will be exposed to infections which will lead to bleeding. Most of the nerves and blood vessels are in the gums and that is why it hurts when they are infected.
Always take your time with flossing and if you have tried the previous remedies you will feel how it is much easier to get out the plague from the teeth.
You need to continuously spit out the saliva while you floss and finish with a good rinse with some water.
4. The last step for good oral hygiene is to use antiseptic mouthwash every day. The mouthwash will give some freshness to your breath and also will eliminate the plaque that you might have missed while doing the previous steps.
All these 4 steps are a sure way to maintain proper oral hygiene and will give you healthier and whiter teeth.
